This activity is designed specifically for oncology nurses, nurse practitioners, and other nursing professionals who provide cancer care in community and non-academic settings.
Program Overview
Breast cancer affects approximately 1 in 8 women in the United States during their lifetime, and many individuals experience recurrent or metastatic disease. In recent years, antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs), a novel class of cancer therapeutics, have transformed the treatment landscape for breast cancer. However, disparities in access to high-quality cancer care persist in community-based settings. Oncology nurses play a critical role in improving outcomes for these patients by recognizing and managing treatment-related adverse events, supporting individualized care, and helping to overcome barriers to treatment access. In this CE activity, expert faculty will review the evolving role of ADCs in breast cancer management and discuss practical nursing considerations for monitoring safety, optimizing patient education, and improving delivery of patient-centered care in community oncology settings.
The content for this enduring activity was recorded during a live webinar on June 27, 2026.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be better able to:
- Evaluate the benefits and safety profiles of new and emerging ADCs for breast cancer
- Apply evidence-based strategies and best practices to identify, monitor, and mitigate adverse events associated with ADC therapies for breast cancer
- Integrate strategies to improve communication, care coordination, and education for patients with breast cancer being treated with ADCs
