Target Audience
This activity is designed specifically for community oncologists, advanced practice providers, and other members of the healthcare team who serve patients from rural and underserved communities.
Program Overview
In recent years, a deeper understanding of non-melanoma skin cancer (NMSC) pathogenesis has driven major therapeutic advances, including the approval of multiple immune checkpoint inhibitors for advanced and metastatic disease. As new treatment options continue to emerge, it is essential for oncology clinicians serving patients from rural and underserved communities to stay current with evolving management strategies. However, limited time, resources, and access to multidisciplinary care can make this difficult. In this on-demand CME/CE activity, experts will review the latest clinical evidence and guideline recommendations for systemic therapies in advanced and metastatic NMSC through case-based discussions. The program will also highlight strategies to overcome barriers to care, optimize management of treatment-related adverse events, and address the unique challenges faced by patients in rural and underserved settings.
This enduring activity is a recorded session from Oncology Congress that took place on October 25, 2025.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be better able to:
- Evaluate the latest clinical evidence on the safety and efficacy of systemic therapies for the treatment of NMSC
- Apply current guideline recommendations and recent clinical trial data to optimize treatment for patients with NMSC
- Utilize evidence-based approaches to monitor, recognize, and mitigate adverse effects associated with systemic therapies for NMSC
- Integrate interprofessional strategies to optimize management and outcomes of patients with NMSC, particularly in rural and underserved communities
